Security and Privacy in Blockchain

Heartened that many turned up on a Friday night on 26th Juluy 2019 at 80RR Fintech Hub SG to attend the “Security & Privacy in Blockchain” event, co-organised by IBM, Token Economy Association (SG) and Singapore FinTech Association (SFA).

A highly Informative session, Peter DeMeo from IBM shared on the latest in Blockchain security, from supply chain attack to quantum computing-resistant algo. Wanyi Wong from PwC shared on various aspects of blockchain and crypto-asset audit/assurance. TEA SG board member and JEDTrade CTO Ernie Teo illustrated how both privacy and analytics can be achieved on a decentralised platform. Last but not least, Maria Teo from Nexia TS highlighted the key things to look out for in governance and risk management of blockchain systems.
While security and privacy are not the most sexy parts of blockchain, they are critical in order to attract institutional interest and adoption, and much has developed in this domain.
