20 November 2024 – In a move to accelerate the convergence of blockchain technology and sports innovation, the Blockchain Association Singapore (BAS) and Global Sports Innovation Center (GSIC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on advancing the adoption of blockchain technology in the sports industry. The agreement is signed off by Tan Bin Ru (Chairman, BAS) & Iris Cordoba Mondejar (General Manager, GSIC). This strategic collaboration marks a significant milestone in bridging the gap between blockchain technology and the sports industry.
The partnership will focus on several key areas including blockchain advocacy events, educational workshops, and exploration of cutting-edge solutions that will redefine how technology enhances the sports experience. The MOU comes at a pivotal moment when both blockchain technology and sports are undergoing rapid transformations, with increasing interest in how blockchain can revolutionise ticketing, broadcasting rights, and fan engagement.
